Selecting Little Y to be a Project

The term to select six sigma’s project ought to SMART (Specific – Measurable – Attainable – Reliable – Time Bound). Project that we choose should be specific in the condition. Specific will maintain the project more focus and have strong direction. Measurable means could be quantitatively checking current level and setting the target. Attainable means project can be solved by the team with the six sigma methodologies. Reliable means that project must be reliable with the organization direction/way. While Time Bound means that project could be completed in the specific interval time.

The Big Y has been extracted to be a little y. In the low level of little y, we can choose it as the Project. Sometimes the extraction of the Big Y to the little y has not specific enough to be chosen as the Project. We can derive the little y to more specific little y and choose it as the project.
